<b>Specific admission criterias</b>
In addition to the general education requirement, candidates must qualify for the program by a portfolio evaluation of the candidates’ previous work. The portfolios are judged by a separate faculty committee at the University College in Volda. The faculty committee may also ask applicants to come for an interview session with additional assignments, in order to be admitted into the program. Qualified candidates compete on the basis of GPA scores. The final admission process goes through Samordna Opptak. Approximately 10 students are accepted into the program every year.
The program is directed towards creative individuals with a keen interest for the visual media. Previous producing experience in animation or other visual communications might be advantageous. Applicants must have a minimum knowledge/experience similar to high school courses 2 in drawing, shapes, and colours.

Evaluation and quality assurance

All modules will be evaluated. The result of such evaluation and the program as a whole, will be discussed in the program's advisory board.
