The BA in information qualifies for public relations work in the public sector and in private organizations and companies. The program provides students analytical tools that enables them to interpret and understand various problematic questions regarding public relations, and to integrate theory in practical work. Students shall be capable of defining problems and ambitions, evaluate various measures, and perform concrete public relations efforts. Today, public relations professionals are often put in a consulting function connected to the management of various organizations and commercial actors. Thus, the program emphasizes the students’ abilities to critically analyze communication problems, and what organizations can do in order to solve their problems. Analyses of this nature are to provide a foundation for implementing public relations and communication efforts directed at the surrounding society. This education will also be a useful specialization combined with the other social science or humanities courses.Practice
